Yuhei Ishiguro

YUHEI (1).jpg

Yuhei Ishiguro is a Japanese musical artist whose passion for music began in childhood. Born and raised in Japan, he grew up in a home filled with music, thanks to his father, an avid guitarist. Yuhei learned to play the guitar alongside him, creating precious memories and developing a deep love for music.

Everything changed in 2017 when he moved to France for his studies. It was there that Yuhei discovered the vibrant culture of electronic music and European clubs, an experience that rekindled his flame for music creation. Inspired by this new scene, he began composing his own tracks, diving into music production.

In 2019, he expanded his artistic horizons by venturing into live performances using modular synthesizers, a demanding discipline that requires both technical precision and boundless creativity.

His mastery of modular synthesizers and flair for live performances quickly caught the attention of prestigious event organizers. He received invitations to perform at iconic Tokyo clubs such as Circus and Solfa, where he set the stage ablaze with his electrifying compositions. These performances allowed him to establish his presence on the Japanese electronic music scene.

Back in Tokyo, alongside his club performances, Yuhei Ishiguro sought connections with various players in the local music scene. He founded "FoW," an event dedicated to live music using all types of machines and modular synthesizers, bringing together artists who share his passion for sonic innovation. This event quickly became a must-attend for electronic music enthusiasts, providing a platform for many emerging talents.

Currently, he focuses primarily on 2-step garage, a musical genre characterized by syncopated rhythms and deep bass lines. To achieve this, he uses a unique hybrid setup combining groove boxes and modular synthesizers. This approach allows him to create tracks that are both complex and engaging, marrying cutting-edge technology with artistic sensitivity.

His hybrid setup is the result of many years of research and refinement. Each performance is an immersive experience, where the audience is transported into a rich and dynamic sound universe. Whether in Paris or Tokyo, he continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, exploring new textures and rhythms to offer his audience an unforgettable musical experience.

D.KO LOGO (black_white) (1).jpg

Founded in 2011 in Paris by four young artists, Mud Deep, Flabaire, Mézigue & GGGG, the collective immediately made a name in Parisian bars, and it was in 2013 that the record label was born with the release of 'Cœur D'artichaut', its first compilation and also its first collaboration with Mad Rey.

From then on, D.KO Records organized parties and other events in France and abroad while developing its record label business. In 10 years, the label has become a key player in the French electronic music revival, with over forty titles to its name, including albums and EPs by Foreign Sequence, Toke, Paul Cut, Paso, Rag Dabons, Secret Value Orchestra and many others.

Eclecticism is D.KO's watchword! Refusing to remain locked into a single genre, the label continues to explore new sounds, questioning, experimenting and refining its style, combining House, Techno, IDM, Jungle and Ambient, in ****live, DJ sets or in the studio... with no boundaries!
